38 Weeks.....Counting the Days...

I went for my antenatal TCA yesterday evening. Alhamdulillah, my baby is growing well, just that my weight reduced about 350g...haha. Dr. Hamidah, my obstetrician said my baby is not engaged yet, seems like she does not want to come into the world yet. However, that is normal in a gravida 2 para 1 like me, where the baby will only be engaged during labour. I thought I felt my baby has come down as I feel pressure at my pelvic bone and started to get leg swelling.

All things for my admission to hospital in case I go into labour are ready. 1 bag for my items, 1 bag for the newborn baby stuff and another 1 bag for my daughter's items. I felt relieved as our house finally looks and feel like a home now without boxes and things not sorted out yet...still got few boxes at the back room though which contained not so important stuff :) Also few things that I felt needed to be changed anew...don't know if they can be done before my delivery or not...hmm, what say you, mr. hubby?

My husband and I are in the process of looking for a maid to take care of this baby (plus my daughter and the household chores). I really feel I need a maid now because my husband frequently goes outstation. At least, I have someone with me that I can get help from in case anything happens. If anyone knows or would like to work with us, don't be shy to contact me. We prefer to get maid originated from Malaysia, but I know that would be quite impossible..huhu.

I hope my decision to deliver my child at Hospital Putrajaya under the Full Paying Patient scheme (like private wing) is the right choice. Quite a number of private medical centres and maternity centres we surveyed, but I just felt a bit unsafe to go to a private hospital. I have more trust in government hospital...because I know the management in private hospital is different than in the government hospital...private hospital also do not have the basic and important facilities eg blood bank and enough doctors. As I am working at MOH, I received lots of maternal mortality cases from private hospitals that are actually preventable.....very scaryy!! Some of the cases, the management is totally different from what us doctors learnt in medical school and it's very frightening how they (specialists) can get their certificate to practice like that. Moreover, I think the treatment charges at FPP Hospital Putrajaya is reasonable, unlike other private centres. What is important, I want my delivery to be conducted by a Muslim female doctor safely....amin.

New Year Outing

How do you celebrate your new year? Did you go to a celebration countdown? Or just stay home with your family, like me?

A day before new year, I got an unexpected phone call from a staff at Hospital Seri Manjung, saying I've got the promotion letter from UD44 to UD48. Alhamdulillah....a great start for a new year and a special gift for my family :) So, to celebrate my promotion (even though I didn't get the backdated money or the supposed salary yet..hehe) I treat my family and my brother (too bad my mom and dad are at Perak) with a meal at Madam Lim's Kitchen Restaurant at AEON AU2 Setiawangsa...I want to go shopping also, of course..hihi.

My lovely daughter is a big girl already, and like to pose for pictures! Heheh....

With her uncle....aka my brother...she's excited to see him...........

OK....let's EATTT!!! It's my first time eating at the restaurant and I found the food is delicious! We ate white rice, mix vegetable soup, Grouper fish fried with sambal (very, very nice) and prawns sambal petai.....yummy!

After our hearty meal, I went shopping...a therapy for me during this second pregnancy :P I bought a handbag, maternity clothes and nursing attire...spent RM few hundreds at Jusco while my husband entertain my daughter at Funland as usual :)

Landlord? :)

Alhamdulillah...I officially got a new title...a 'Landlord' :) I have posted in this blog few months ago that I have a house in Manjung, Perak that we didn't get to stay in yet (home sweet home manjung). The house now has got its tenant. I didn't advertise or anything, not even hang a signage in front of the house...but somehow houses at that area is like hot selling pisang goreng panas as Malays would say :) Hmm, not bad I can say the demand for houses at Manjung. Now, I only need to pay RM114 every month to top up for the payment of the house loan. I feel relieved as I don't have on-call claims anymore since I'm working at MOH :)

I really hope that the tenant will take good care of the house. He seems ok, I guess....going to get married in few months time so he will be staying there with his future wife. At least, I don't have to be worried about kids doodling at the wall of the house..hehe. What is more convenient, his company is going to pay for the house rent. Therefore, should be no problem for me to get the pay rent on time or not getting the rent money at all....hopefully. After I deliver my second child, I hope I can go to Seri Manjung to see the house.
