New Year Outing

      How do you celebrate your new year? Did you go to a celebration countdown? Or just stay home with your family, like me? 

      A day before new year, I got an unexpected phone call from a staff at Hospital Seri Manjung, saying I've got the promotion letter from UD44 to UD48. Alhamdulillah....a great start for a new year and a special gift for my family :) So, to celebrate my promotion (even though I didn't get the backdated money or the supposed salary yet..hehe) I treat my family and my brother (too bad my mom and dad are at Perak) with a meal at Madam Lim's Kitchen Restaurant at AEON AU2 Setiawangsa...I want to go shopping also, of course..hihi.

 My lovely daughter is a big girl already, and like to pose for pictures! Heheh....

OK....let's EATTT!!! It's my first time eating at the restaurant and I found the food is delicious! We ate white rice, mix vegetable soup, Grouper fish fried with sambal (very, very nice) and prawns sambal petai.....yummy!

     After our hearty meal, I went shopping...a therapy for me during this second pregnancy :P I bought a handbag, maternity clothes and nursing attire...spent RM few hundreds at Jusco while my husband entertain my daughter at Funland as usual :)

Melaka on long weekend

It's a long weekend holiday as 1 Malaysia day falls on Sunday.How do u spend ur hols?Well,I cannot spend with my family as I have to attend 'Kursus Pembacaan Akta' at Hang Tuah World Heritage Hotel.Sounds boring right the course,but I have to face it now as this is going to be part of my work.Since I'm only on my 2nd week of working at MOH, and had no idea about the act,hopefully my sacrifice for the weekend will benefit me if not many,some important parts about the 586 Act..

Happy Birthday!

     

     I'm a year older today. Didn't do anything special today, just hanging around at home with my loved ones. I already got my birthday present from my husband...an early present, actually...the vacation to Bandung in early February :)

     Many would complaint if it's their birthday, they are older. Age is just a number. So what if you're getting old? It's part of a normal life process. To me, I'm thankful that Allah still give me the chance to live in His beautiful world, giving me the chance to make more great memories with my beloved families and my cherished friends...i also can add on my not so great 'ibadat' to Him....Alhamdulillah...Thank You Allah.

 

    I have many plans for this year. Hopefully, He will help me to accomplish them :) Thank you very much to those who sent birthday wishes for me....be it posted in Facebook, via email or SMS...I truly appreciate them...they made my day! :) May this year brings lots of happiness, health and success for me and my family...Amin..

Semifinalist Blogger MasterChef Malaysia

Are you guys surprise to see the header? Hehe. Well,it's not me, but my husband has been chosen as 1 of 20 semifinalists to compete in the event...yes,dear! MY HUSBAND! Whom rarely cook at home or anywere else :) It all started when he cooked 'ayam masak merah' during Hari Raya and he posted it on his blog, Untuk Semua
It sure looks yummy, rite? Taste good too : )

 

Since we were in KL and the venue of the contest was at Desa Sri Hartamas, he decided to take the challenge. I didn't see him preparing himself by cooking before the big day but he seemed confident with himself..

On 1st October 2011, we went to the competition's venue at The Cooking House. When we entered, other semifinalists were already there...quite a number of them are male. Nowadays, men knows how to cook, sometimes even better than women : )

And the pressure begin...the first test is The Invention Test...contestants are asked to cook chicken as the main ingredient. That time I thought maybe my hubby gonna cook 'ayam masak merah'....he did, but in a modified way since there's not enough dry chillies..hehe. Let's see his action in the kitchen...

For the second test, which is the Skills Test, they have to do poach egg...This is my husband's....almost perfect!Hehe. 

Although he didn't make it to the final 5, he still got many goodies from the sponsors. Congrats, honey! Aliya and I are very proud of you! If I am the one entering the competition, I'm  not sure I can do as calmly as he did...This will be a memorable event in our family :) So,honey..after this bolehla selalu masak kat rumah ye :P
